    2016 Community Lottery Tickets - Available now on-line

    Norwood Lions is once again participating in the People’s Choice Community Lottery – a unique fund raising opportunity for not-for-profit organisations like ours. Money raised from the Lottery will help us support Lions projects including Operation Flinders and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

    4th Annual Winery Cruise

    It's on again! The much anticipated annual winery cruise hosted by Norwood Lions. This year we return to the sparkling Adelaide Hills, with visits to Bird In Hand, Murdoch Hill, Petaluma wineries, plus a gourmet BBQ lunch at the Oakbank Hotel. Each of these wineries have agreed to welcome our group and waive all tasting fees so they are well worth supporting with your purchases on the day.

    2015 Community Lottery Tickets Available Now On-line

    * 150 prizes worth a total of $360,000

    * from now until 30 April 2015, tickets will be available online only.

    * Tickets purchased online during this time will go into the draw to win the early bird prize – a Hyundai i20 worth $17,375 (drawn 13 May 2015).

    The Lottery is a self-help scheme for not-for-profit sporting clubs, schools and pre-schools, community groups and charitable organisations.

    Tickets are $2 each and participating organisations retain 100% of all proceeds which they generate through the sale of both paper and online tickets.

    Annual Winery Cruise 11th April 2015

    The final details have been locked in and we can get officially excited for the upcoming annual fundraising winery tour, this time at the beautiful Barossa Valley to visit a cross section of unique as well as heritage cellar doors.

    Compared to other commercial wine tours, our customised tour offers amazing value including lunch as part of the day whilst other tours cost on average $85 for visiting a similar number of cellar doors without lunch.

    We'll be visiting 3 wineries for private wine tastings: Kellermeister, Hart of Barossa and Kalleske, plus stopping at the Jacobs Creek Visitor Centre for lunch. Each of these wineries have agreed to welcome our group and waive all tasting fees so they are well worth supporting with your purchases on the day.

  • Join Norwood Lions in Support of Dunstan Christmas Appeal

    Norwood Lions is proud to support the inaugural Dunstan Christmas appeal, an initiative of Steven Marshall MP, Member for Dunstan, with proceeds going directly to the Salvation Army.

    The Norwood Salvation Army does a wonderful job in our local community supporting hundreds of individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet.

    Local residents, community organisations and businesses are invited to support this worthwhile initiative by donating items to brighten up Christmas for someone less fortunate.

    Suggestions of what to donate include:
    • Any non-perishable food items;
    • Christmas puddings and cakes;
    • Toys;
    • Blankets and bedding;
    • Toiletries; and
    • Store gift cards.

    Donations can be left in Steven Marshall's office in the Salvation Army box at U2, 90-94 The Parade in Norwood until 5pm on Thursday 18th December 2014. When dropping off your donation, don’t forget to sign the 2014 Dunstan Christmas Appeal sheet which I will present to the Norwood Salvation Army.

    All of the donated items will be presented to the Norwood Salvation Army before Christmas Day.

    Norwood Lions is now selling Community Lottery tickets and books. Get in touch via our contacts page to buy a $2.00 ticket, or a book of 10 tickets for $20.00 to sell to your friends and family. 100% of all tickets we sell comes back to Norwood Lions, and will help us reach our fundraising target this year of $11,000.00.     Our resident Lion at Large takes on Santa and his elves at this iconic Norwood event, Sat 23rd November, 10.00am.

  • Winter Winery Cruise

    Around 24 intrepid explorers spent a lovely day in the Adelaide Hills, sampling wines from some of SA''s most iconic wineries, including Bird in Hand, Nepenthe and Shaw and Smith.The petanque and bus activities were extremely popular, we had a bunch of people express interest in joining the club.

  • Quiz Night - Oct 2012

    Our first annual quiz night, at Payneham Bowling Club, was a huge success. The event was sold out, and we raised over $4,000.00 which was donated to the Lions Mobility Foundation for the purchase of a mobility walker for a local child with severe disability.
